OPTACorp is dedicated to assisting transitioning and veteran Green Berets with their search for viable and lasting careers. Therefore, we have partnered with The Green Beret Foundation to serve as a premiere employment resource through The Green Beret Foundation’s The Next Ridgeline program.
Branding. Shaping. Integrating.
Through our 3-Star Operator Transition Assistance Program, we assist Green Berets in developing their unique story board, linking their elite military experience with business leaders’ critical needs. Upon receiving referrals from The Green Beret Foundation we thoroughly assess the service members or veterans’ military experience, education, skill sets, career goals, and family situation. We then work hand-in-hand with the Green Beret candidates to identify career opportunities, review and strengthen their resumes to target specific opportunities, assist them in researching targeted industries and companies, and prepare them for the interview process. Once the Green Berets have accepted employment offers, OPTACorp provides continued support to the candidates as they navigate the corporate workforce.
What Green Berets Bring to the Corporate Workforce
Green Berets are referred to as The Quiet Professionals, not only because they operate primarily under the cover of darkness, unnoticed and unrecognized, but because they are humble. Organized in teams of 12, referred to as Operational Detachment Alphas (ODAs), Green Berets must be self-sustaining in remote and often hostile surroundings. Aside from direct action and counterterrorism missions, Green Berets are also heavily engaged in organizing, assisting, and training foreign internal defense forces. The Green Berets focus on winning hearts and minds, through cultural awareness and sensitivity, linguistic abilities, and humanitarian efforts.
Green Berets excel in corporate settings, due to their ability to collect and analyze information, prioritize, and judiciously make decisions. Their mental agility allows them to work in high-stress, high-stakes environments that require top-notch performance and reliability. Additionally, Green Berets are technologically savvy troubleshooters who easily anticipate and mitigate issues.
